My two very dear friends, with lots of help from my aunties, mom, and grandma, threw me the most stunning garden party shower earlier this month. It was down in Jacksonville, in my parents' backyard, and everything was absolutely perfect. I was so blessed by the hard work and the details that had gone into the planning - it was unbelievable! Walking out onto the patio brought tears to my eyes because I just knew how much had gone into making this a very special party. Move over, Martha!
The party favors of body scrub were made by dear friend and shower planner Jessi's brother, Matt.
The gazillion poofballs (there are more you can't see) were made by all and hung by my dad.
The flower arrangements were put together by my good friend Emmalee. The flowers are from the transplants of our prior business venture - a produce stand and cutting garden. Epic fail, but such good and hilarious memories!
This mama's special chair!
All the food was made by dear friend and shower planners Tiffany and Jessi. Tiff is a fabulous cook and Jessi is a trained pastry chef. Everything was d.e.l.i.s.h.
When they asked me for any special requests, I had one word: BACON!! And who wouldn't love a bacon bouquet?
The mimosa bar. TJ's limeade, blueberry pomegranate juice, and freshly squeezed OJ (by my dad with his juicer). Need I say more?
Enjoying food, friends, and fellowship. It was also exciting for me because a number of girlfriends from high school and previous jobs came that I hadn't seen in years. It was so good to reconnect!
Each gift at this shower was so thoughtful and special.
My daughters are so blessed to be surrounded by such loving people.
