settling in.

Our family is finally settling in at home!

Ruthie and Afton were discharged from the NICU on Sunday at noon. We strapped their teeny bodies in their car seats and didn't look back.

Below was right before their feeding tubes were removed and they went on an ad-lib eating schedule. Ruthie's yawns take up her whole face!

At our 2-day checkup yesterday, Ruthie had already gained half a pound (4.15) and Afton 3 ounces (5.3)! I think it's because they're so happy to be home, of course.

So happy to be able to cuddle and feed our babies whenever we want.

  1. OH so happy you are home! It's an amazing feeling walking out those doors, and YES, feeding them on YOUR schedule, not the hospitals!!
    Such little sweeties!

  2. I found your blog through the Paper Mama photo challenge. Your girls are so sweet! I have twin boys and I remember the feeling of finally getting those tubes out and taking the boys home. So happy!
    Your babies are beautiful, congrats!
