february photo-a-day

I feel like I really missed out on something by not participating in the January photo a day fun-ness. I didn't know about it until midway through the month, and by then it was just too late.

Lucky for me, Fat Mum Slim introduced the February Photo A Day. I'm already on Instagram a lot during the day, so this time I'm on board!

Are you on Instagram, and do you love it as much as I do? It gives me a little glimpse into what other mamas are doing on a daily basis, and it allows me to connect with them on another level. I'll probably never seriously do twitter or other social media outlets, because I don't have a smart phone like many people and it would be a lot of work (Well, I do, but it isn't a real phone with a data plan anymore, and it's hecka-old. I can use the camera and connect through WiFi, but otherwise it's just for music. Here is a great article summing up why I'll probably never have an iPhone again).

If you are on Instagram, I'd love to follow you. Follow me (@bohomama_meg) or send me your user name, and we'll get this thing started!

  1. I don't have an iphone either, I just use my itouch. So, if I post to instagram I take a pic with my old texting phone, email it to myself and then upload it haha.
    How do you do it?

Everytime I start to feel weird because I'm the only one without an iphone, I remember the monthly cost to have one and that I'd probably be on it all the time.

I love that link you put in here about why you won't have an iphone...I am trying to come up with a "schedule" for my online time, because it's important to me...but like she said, it needs to be an aspect and not my life.
    Thanks!

    1. Oh man see it IS a lot of work, haha. I was able to get the Instagram app on mine, if you have the itouch with the camera you might be able to get the app too? I then can only use it when I'm in a place that has wifi, which our building does.

I'm with you on the scheduling thing - I'm trying to find a way to stay connected on both ends and balance it all out. Some days I do better than others, but it would really help if I was able to create a schedule and stick to it.

  2. Krystle and Megan -- I am with you in the exclusive iPhoneless club! Didn't even think I could use instagram without it...now I'm off to check out the possibilities :) (the #JANphotoaday challenge was way too hard with my DSLR!)

    1. Courtney, do you have an itouch with a camera? I'm thinking you might be able to get the IG app with it?
