Wow, we've been out and about more than usual over the past two weeks, with and without the babies! It feels good and strange all at the same time. Like I should preface any conversation with, "I have two babies at home. I don't do this often. Pour me another drink."
We went out for a family breakfast at Tasty n' Sons in North Portland and had chocolate donuts.
I went to a demo cooking class at Whole Foods. Appetizers, cherry mojitos and wine, fennel and apple salad, and pea and mint risotto. Delicious.
Last Saturday night was the Portland bloggers cocktail party, coordinated by the amazing Jenni and Sam. My friend Mandi and I met some new local bloggers and enjoyed delicious cocktails and cupcakes. I got dressed up, curled my hair, and actually wore lipstick. No, I don't have any evidence of this, but I did it and it felt amazing!
Sunday morning, we went out to breakfast at Nuvrei Patisserie to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Actually, our anniversary was on Saturday...but he was busy with a grad school project that had to get done, and I was at a baby shower and then the blogger meetup. So we hardly saw each other, but every time we did, we'd wish each other a "Happy Anniversary!"
We also discovered that these girls like cornichons and each chewed on a pickle while we ate. They'd make sour faces every now and then, but go right back to gnawing!
Andy came up with the brilliant idea of attaching their little rattles to a pacifier chain and clipping it to their sleeves. They chewed them, shook them, banged them around, but everytime they dropped them, they just hung off their sleeves. No hitting the concrete, no falling into floor crud. He's a keeper.

Hi BreAnna! Yes definitely, there will be a family picnic meetup in June, from what I understand. Jenni from www.awellcraftedparty.com coordinates them, and she does a great job.
